I am sitting here with a pretty massive headache...watching So You Think You Can Dance...wondering how much sleep I am going to get tonight...I find myself super tired lately and wondering where the weeks have gone and why the heck it is almost August when I barely remember June or July....that being said...I looked at my blogger and actually looked at it and realized I have hit 200 followers...now with no intent of actually getting any followers and even more so never thinking I would be posting almost every single day a listing of outfits I wear...I really must say to everyone who actually visits my site...thank you...

cuz seriously...if I do what you guys do for me...then I am so GRATEFUL...to have finally found an outlet...other than dance...my husband...and my family...to inspire me and drive me ..from fashion bloggers to mommy bloggers to crafters and thrifters..army wives and single gals...all of you make up a world of friends...

I know...I know it sounds pretty sappy and I don't normally go off on a tangent like this.. I am sure you are wondering WHY they heck you are still reading this lame post...but I gotta say it..cuz I barely have time to write this as we speak cuz I SHOULD be sleeping...or visiting all of you and responding to all of your emails and comments...so there...there it  is...

THIS is exactly what I needed...cuz I have been trying to figure out why I am not getting any sleep...and why I have totally been on edge...and well folks...I figured it out...it's JULY...JULY and it has been 4 years since my mom has passed away...and it's like brand new information EVERY single year..and I feel like I am continually bringing it up...is anyone else out there feelin me? ANYONE? cuz if there is I will take any advice...ANY....

I miss friends birthdays..I don't return calls...and I often forget where I put things, say things, or leave things...so what do I do...I go thrifting...and spend countless hours pinning crap on a virtual pin board which by the way I am addicted to! I cry while watching So You Think You Can Dance...and when my lab Sophie comes over and hands me her paw I grab her face and begin chewing on her ear...whispering "i love you...i love you...i love you..." OR

OR I wear men's clothing...and a fedora...which I told myself I would never do..I mean...it's SOOO not me...but here I am...in mens' pants that make me look like I have a you know what...and I ramble...and make ridiculously long posts about me losing it...So if you are a newer follower please take note that I really don't do this ever..I promise it is mostly fashion, fitness and an occasional hubby sighting.

This is me jumping for joy...cuz I heart you...all of you...
DSC08413I can't believe I have 200 followers!!!
YAY!DSC08415
Ok I don't have a Nikon folks...so it wasn't as easy to actually catch me in the air..but you get the gist...haha

I normally post these ridiculous photos on my facebook here but I had to share..I love it when photographer extraordinaire catches me lookin like a fool...and so did the mechanics across the way..haha

haha

That's the END...I promise..

First I wanted to say you look great! I love the fedora, and the men's shirt.
But also I have the same types of problems every February right around Valentines day. Even though my father died a few years ago every February I get weepy about stupid things, like anytime anyone's dad shows up in a movie or TV show. (I can't even watch things like 'Family Guy'.) I don't have any real advice but I do think it helps to talk about it. A couple of my girlfriends have also lost their father figures and sometimes we just talk about how awesome they were. Good luck with everything I hope you get some sleep.

Leah :

I can't believe you thrifted YSL pants! Love this look and the pictures are great.

Shana darling, I really love this 'so not you' look on you! I'm a big fan of fedoras!
More importantly, lots and lots and lots of hugs for you. Your Mom was clearly an amazing woman. She would be so proud of you, and of course you are going to continue missing her. I get it. I've been through my own loss and heartbreak. (http://joekaren.blogspot.com/). And I also cry when I watch sytycd. And I lose my brain a lot and get loopy.
You are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us!

Meagan :

I love your menswear look. The shoes you were asking about are from Charlotte Russe recently. They were on the sale rack and appearantly some stores have them on sale for just $5!

Ha! You're so sweet, Shana! This is kind of a mobster look... perfect for Vegas! ;)

April :

Love your blog! And this menswear look is great...it totally looks like it was made for you!

Mommy Moxie :

April is my month and even after 14 years I still cry when I think about losing my dad. Father's Day, his birthday, the day he was diagnosed, the day he died...you know how it goes. It gets a little easier but the pain never goes away (I'm sitting here crying as a I write this). All you can do it keep your mom's memory strong in your heart and pray for healing. I'll send up a prayer for you too <3

Congrats on 200 followers! Love the look-you sooo make me miss Vegas!!

MissRockwell :

You are one sexy chic! About the only person I know who can rock men's clothing and make it look so perfect.

And it's okay to ramble (after all it's YOUR blog)...I actually enjoy it because it makes reading your blog more personal.

And I have to be THEE biggest cry baby in the world when watching TV. I cry at American Idol, Oprah, Top Model, basically everything. So that's ok as well.

Shana,
I think you look adorable. I too wore a fedora the other day. I thoght i looked like a goof but, i guess I really didn't care.
I recently lost my Father and hope with time I'll be back to my old silly self.
Bloggers really do have things in common.
