haha I know the title sounds way more glamorous ...so what we are in a backyard...haha I can make it look glamorous! haha We live in Las Vegas so...THIS was my idea of going away for the weekend. While we did go away we didn't really go that far. like maybe 45 minutes away to one of our good friends and talented photographers Stacie Frazier. I don't get out much...and when I do I am rarely trying to dress up let alone get in a swimsuit. But lately I have been really trying to be happy with where I am at not wait to be happy with where I will be at in a few weeks. Since it was more about the fashion for me I must say... There is something about pool parties in Vegas...and I don't mean the ones that are crowded and over populated with drunks and crack heads. I mean the over the top, wearing heels by the pool, cabana boy type pool parties and I was ready for one...haha I finally felt confident in what I was wearing and was ready to live it up! CABANA BOY.....

This bikini top was made for me. I haven't been this secure in a bikini top in a while...so I will be ordering more from Beach Babe who I found on Instagram . Gotta love Instagram. And you know I am always at Marshalls. It is rare when you find gems and these bikini bottoms were one of them. In the clearance side and just the bottoms I thought these would be perfect. And they were! Decorating for this BBQ and pool party was made easy since I had half of the stuff and Marshalls had the rest. I always find the cutest throws and pillows and towels...this Nicole Miller throw is now in my living room and I am loving the stripes!

Have you guys gone to any pool parties this summer yet? Are you guys dreading it? I know...doesn't always seem like a great thing...but when you are comfortable with what you are wearing it makes all the difference. So take the time to look for swimsuits that make you feel comfortable and make sure to take your partner along...they always make you feel more confident..hence the semi not appropriate blog picture above. I had to leave it in.. I mean... haha
