Photographer Extraordinaire (PE) and I began working out together and we were having so much fun..I finally found someone who wanted to push themselves past the point of exhaustion....we then found ourselves eating lunch together and that is when I really started to notice how eating habits can really affect any sort of weight loss.
Breakthrough #1
Order a 6inch, NOT a foot long. PE would order a foot long, cheese, mayo, Vinegar AND oil...SALT and pepper. She would often tell me that she doesn't eat chips and NEVER drinks soda...which is fantastic...but here is the problem...while a foot long is a deal...it is not a 1 person meal. We later went back to Subway and I had her order a turkey on wheat, TONS of veggies, NO mayo, and NO oil...a small bag of baked lays, and water. SHE was satisfied, stuffed, and had just saved herself approximately 500 calories and 20 grams of fat. Now this wouldn't be totally necessary if she was not trying to lose weight...but that was the goal...and let's face it folks....it took me almost 30 years to realize that your body is a reflection of what you eat...80% of what you eat and 20% of what you burn...everyone is different...but I knew PE had worked out before and was as fit as she had ever been, yet always seemed to fall back into the same trap.

This was just the introduction...stay tuned for more about some of the foods she has really grown to love!
