Ok now that that is out of the way I wanted to share my journey with you guys as I always do! It really helps me to stay on track and get motivated and that is what this is all about. Finding what makes you and takes you to that place every day and every week! SO What do I do to get started? I shared this in my Private Facebook group but wanted to also share it here! this is not everything but it is a start! 

HERE is what I did to start:
1. Meal prepped enough meals so that I could have my lunch and snack prepared to take with me to work.

1/3 cup Israeli Couscous and veggies Black Bean Burger, 

1/3 cup Quinoa and kale 4 oz grilled chicken



 4 oz grilled chicken and 1 cup broccoli
sweet potatoe slices with olive oil turkey burger 1 cup broccoli!


2. WATER WATER WATER. To start anything even to get my mind right I start drinking water as much as I can.
3. Schedule my time to workout. I LOVE to lift weights so for me that is what gets me excited so I start with a body part I love working. tonight I am going to work shoulders, biceps and trap followed by some ab work! and 20 min of cardio ANY MACHINE or movement. I perform this weekend so I will be dancing Thursday and Friday! 


4. I start planning in my planner I just like to write things down goals ideas it also helps me to see ok Monday I will work arms tuesday back etc etc. If you guys want some help with a workout split leave a comment below and I can help! 

5. The first week of deciding to get your ish together allow yourself to fail...and when I say fail I mean if you miss your meal your vitamins your protein your workout it is ok just set your goals for the next day or next few hours... DO NOT look at a scale ladies...I know it is easier said then done. Did you know when you compete you have to give your weight to your coach each week did you know that your actual weight MEANS NOTHING. NOTHING.. So lets really focus on getting strong, toned, and feeling good this week is about getting started each day you progressively start to get better and make better choicees. 

6. START to tell your friends and family you are about to #LETEMHAVEIT Announce it I swear it makes a difference... this week I will allow myself a meal this weekend to be whatever the heck I want It will have my brain really focused on 100% monday through friday . This is my tactic it doesn't always work for everyone!  Who knows they just might want to start their own Transphormation! hint hint...that is my aunt below!! SHE IS JOINING US THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! 

7. VITAMINS. I take my Mfactor  Goddess LINK HERE 3 times a day and Full mega LINK HERE twice a day. Let me introduce you to Poi! This girl...this girl is strong and like a lot of us has struggled with an injury that could have left her defeated...but if you follow her journey you will see she just keeps getting back up! She realizes that this isn't a 12 week transformation or even a 6 month look at me now...this is a way of life for her and each day she reaches a new goal and learns just a little more about herself! How did you find out about the 1stphorm #Transphormation Challenge?
I've been following 1stphorm for several years now, so naturally through social media I saw their announcements about it.I have discovered my love for working out and lifting heavy back in Dec of 2014, and have been a legionofboomer since. Power lifting was what I leaned towards at the time because I loved how it made me feel strong and powerful, and after just several months I was making amazing progress in both the weight I could lift, and with my body and fitness goals. 

I got injured at work back in April, damaging the cartilage in my dominant wrist while putting up drywall and have since gone through several months of physio therapy and lots of doctor visits. I got upset that after making such amazing progress at the gym, I could barely even pick up a cup of coffee without being in a lot of pain. After months, I felt like maybe I would never get better and that I would have to give up on all those dreams, maybe even my career. Which led to some depression and I no longer cared about what i ate or what my waistline looked like. Now, on the best days, my wrist is at about 85%, and as long as im careful with it, so far I'm able to slowly get back to normal duties at work, and hit the gym with a few modifications to accommodate. I am determined to continue with my dreams and not let it get me down again. 

Fit, Strong, and Muscular is where I want to be, and I am willing to put in the work and determination that those things require. SEXY FOR SUMMER is my goal, haha!!
How did you find me?: Through youtube!
What motivated you to start? I stopped lifting over a year ago because of an injury and recently have been getting back to normal in my abilities. I've also been very unhappy with how my body looks and decided it was time to make this year count. To see what me and my body are capable of!
What was your fear going into the challenge? Failure. Always failure. And that people will see me failing and think little/badly of me... 
How do you think you overcame that fear? By reminding myself that I'm doing this for me.  So first and foremost, I'm failing myself if I give up. But also that I shouldn't always worry about what other people think and that if I can prove to myself that I'm being true and working hard, their opinions won't matter.

Did you think about quitting? All the time. That whole "I'll start tomorrow, or next week, etc' always plays in my mind. And lots of times a week passes before I walk into the gym again. But I'm hard on myself and I get upset when I realize how far I've let myself back slide because it shows in my lifting. And then once again I tell myself to keep going and not eff it this time, haha.
Why didn't you quit? Because I do truly love lifting heavy. And it's not just a hobby, it is part of who I am. I've always been attracted to fitness type activities and this is the one that's stuck with me the longest. Part of me would feel empty if I didn't fill that void. I'm a boring person lol.Work and home is all I usually spend my time with, so gym gives me that fun/physical 'me time!


What would you say you love most about how your life has changed since you started? Definitely my appearance haha! I've been skinny my whole life and since I hit 20 I started putting on weight in unwanted places. I was never happy with that. Plus I feel confident being a muscular woman, which is why I'm going for mass right now as my main goal.

What are you goals for the next 12 weeks? Consistency in diet and lifting.

What does your typical day of eating consist of Give me a breakdown of a full day? Well, right now I'm loving your recipe for protein waffles. So I make a bunch and freeze those. Peanut butter and sliced banana on top for my breakfast, and then if that doesn't tide me over til 10am, I'll have a snack of fruit or a bar or something.  Then 10am is my next meal, 12pm or 1pmfor meal 3, and then I would get home and have meal 4 along with another snack of some kind, either before or after.  My meals are typical prep meals of meat (chicken, steak or ground beef/chicken), rice or sweet potato, and veggies of some kind. I'm also drinking two shakes a day with two scoops of whey in it.

What is your favorite Supplement STACK right now with 1stphorm? Postworkout stack all the way! It's my mandatory workout supplement. Ignition and Phormula 1 (currently vanilla milkshake) taken religiously lol.

What is your favorite flavor protein? WHAT can you not live without? My favorite so far is Phormula 1 Loop d fruit because frootloops are my favorite cereal. And I still stand by the Postworkout stack, can't live without that.

What is your favorite go to EAT CLEAN snack? recipe? Hmm...I don't know if I have a favorite. Some days fruit is amazing, other days it's anything peanutbuttery. I'm a woman with strong cravings, let's just say that! Haha!

What does your workout split look like? Mondays and Thursdays are upper body. A fully incorporated super set session that includes all areas (chest, back, shoulders, tri and bi) and I need to get back to my crashfit (legday)classes on Wednesdays.  I just try and get in two leg days wherever it fits into the rest of the week."

How much cardio do you do a day? I don't do cardio a whole lot. Crashfit class is intense cardio. If I do cardio, it would be after a lifting session for about 30minutes.


What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the 1stphorm transphormation challenge or just any challenge in general? Advice? Go for it! If it motivates you more, then great. Also know it's not going to be easy, but that's why joining a group with the same goals is a bigger step in the direction you want to take because now u have others to help you. Just know motivation fades, and that's when your challenge really begins.

You started sharing your journey on  Instagram and even in the private FACEBOOK group. how would you say this has helped you through your journey? Instagram is actually like my blog  (plog I like to say...cus it's pictures) and I like the community and friends you can build through that. Motivating each other, sharing and reviewing products, it's very helpful. Our Facebook group is awesome because I think we've gotten closer lately through that. And not all of my Facebook friends care to see update pictures or mealprep, so it gives me a place to be able to show those who are interested.

Lastly, what are you most excited about doing that maybe you would not have done before starting this journey? Well, I tried the Grouse Grind recently  (and almost died lol). I love lifting heavy so every PR I make gets me excited.

YOU were one of my very first subscribers on my journey on youtube and I still can't believe it has been as long as it has. I forget that we have never met and I don't actually know you in real life haha I have loved watching your journey to becoming a flexing strong kick ass women!! PROUD...that is what this whole challenge is about! If anyone things for a second that in 3 months they are going to finally be where they always wanted then they are going about it the wrong way! you have proven that it isn't easy...but getting back up again...having that pep talk with yourself and reminding yourself you are doing this for YOU...is the biggest success!!! 

We are only half way through the year...and you made me promise to keep your promise to yourself! You will not look back and you will keep progressing. I see bulging biceps in your future and inspiring women that strength is the ultimate motivator! Love you girl and thank you for being on my journey with me!!!

Introducing Christine B. of #TeamLetEmHaveIt: 1stphorm #Transphormation Challenge Athlete



I have been wanting to do this for a while and I am finally buckling down. I know how scared and amazing it was for me to share my journey with complete strangers over 3 years ago! (WATCH MY TRANSFORMATION VIDEO HERE) I got a lot of weird faces, judgment even lost a few friends and or acquaintances...but let me tell you...I have never been better. I know the courage it takes to jump in head first into something you don't know the outcome of and give it 110%. So today I am going to introduce you to Christine. Christine found my Youtube channel because she was searching for information on a cruise! I just so happened to have vlogged my whole cruise and there you have it! I introduced the #Transphormation challenge and she jumped in head first!!! I have asked her some questions to share her experience as well as share what her workouts look like, her full day of eating supplements she takes and more! What is your name? Christine B
How old are you? 33
Where do you live? Massachusetts
When did you start the #transphormaton challenge? March 1st, 2016
How much did you weight when you started? 174(and some change)

How much do you weigh now? 149.0 (and shrinking)

Have you changed your clothing size? I went from a barely closing size 16 to an 8 or 10 depending on the cut.

What motivated you to start? So many things, I didn't want to be the hypocrite nurse, over weight, eating junk and telling others to lead a healthy life and make good choices.  I was tired of feeling uncomfortable in my skin, I wanted to feel strong, and healthy.
What was your fear going into the challenge? Injury, failure, ripping the ass of my stretchy pants while squatting...whacking myself in the face, the usual gym self consciousness-ness(is that a thing?)

How do you think you overcame that fear? "everyone is here for bettering themselves, nobody gives a shit about you unless your hogging the equipment they want to use, now go move heavy things" has become my mantra
Did you think about quiting? of course! that first month of intense work outs after being so sedentary sucked!
Why didn't you quit? honestly, i saw a meme that said "it doesn't get easier, you get stronger" so when i went from walking at 2.5mph to 3 w/o breaking a sweat and jeans i hadn't worn in ages fit again, it gave me the push to keep going.
What would you say you love most about how your life has changed since you started? I have more energy, i sleep better, my blood pressure is lower, my resting heart rate is lower...i can keep going
What are you goals for the next 12 weeks? Squat my body weight and keep working towards that unassisted pull up.
What does your typical day of eating consist of? 
So today wasn't a typical day as it was super crazy at work, and it was also one of the doctor's last day at the clinic so they had a catered lunch at the office, but I thought today was a good example of with some planning and some solid, healthy choices you, or rather I, can stay on track:
SUPPLEMENTS: 1stphorm M-factor Goddess Multi-Vitamin, thyroid pill (I have hashimoto's) and Bone-Up calcium/vit d

Meal 1 - more substantial than I usually eat because I knew work would be crazy, normally I do a shake/waffle/pancake or egg white omelette not both, but today I had both, because of reasons.
coffee with 4 oz almond milk
protein waffle (1 scoop level-1, 1 whole egg, dash of baking powder and water until it's batter thick)
2 slices thin slice fully cooked bacon
15g salted caramel nuts n' more peanut butter
egg white omelette (100g egg whites, 1 wedge laughing cow light swiss)
Tabasco sauce
Cal 464 Protein 54 Fat 21 Carb 11


Meal 2 -usually do 3 hard boiled egg whites today but it it didn't happen

Meal 3 - tried to make the best choices out of what was available for the lunch provided, didn't have my scale so i approximated
1 cup grilled asparagus
1 cup garden salad w/ vinaigrette dressing
1/2 cup blanched green beans
1/2 cup German potato salad
6oz chicken Marsala
Bone-Up calcium/vit d
Cal 382 Protein 22 fat 8 Carb 59

Pre workout) rice cake with peanut butter and 1stPhorm Megawatt(blue raz) snack 2.5 before the gym today i did 30 min steady state cardio 10 min abs and 10 min bi/tri/shoulders
Fitbit says I burned 236 cals today

Meal 4 - (post workout) 1stPhorm Phormula 1 which surprisingly tastes better when mixed with water
Phormula-1 loop de fruit 1 scoop mixed with water
Cal 100 Protein 22 Fat 0 Carb 1

Meal 5 - I knew the German potato salad I had with lunch sucked up most of my carbs so no tiger roll for me

Meal 6 - I like to have something high protein before bed with my 1stPhorm Opti-Core (switching to 1stPhorm Downtime PM next week)

What is your favorite Supplement STACK right now with 1stphorm?  I have thyroid issues so I can't use the bliss go pack but my endocrinologist gave me the okay for the goddess multi vitamin, full mega and opticore which I think I'm going to swap out for downtime PM for a couple of months to see if it improves my sleep

What is your favorite flavor protein? WHAT can you not live without? chocolate, i'm really bummed out that the peanut butter cup isn't gluten free.  I'm also less than thrilled they d/c'd chocolate coconut.

What does your workout split look like?  I don't have a set routine, if my legs are sore i do arms and back, if my arms are sore i do core and/or legs. I just listen to my body, if it needs rest I rest.
How much cardio do you do a day? I've been trying to do fitstar's 10 min ab routine every day, it doesn't always happen but i try.  3 x a week i do 30 min on random incline at 3-4mph, i do mossa fight work outs at least once a week and 30 min on the arc trainer if my knees are acting up.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the 1stphorm transphormation challenge or just any challenge in general? Advice? Go for it! It may be a struggle to start but if you keep with it you will see results and no matter how much help you get along the way, you have to do the work yourself, so you can be proud of yourself for every accomplishment even if it seems small.
You started sharing your journey on Youtube, Instagram and even in the private FACEBOOK group. how would you say this has helped you through your journey? I feel like sharing my progress keeps me accountable to myself.  I mean, I have 6 followers on youtube, which is crazy, there are 6 people who have in some way invested themselves, for 2-5 min a week, in hearing my thoughts, my progress.  So if people i don't even know are giving up 2-5 min of their life, to silently support me, well then I'd better bring it.
Christine forgot to mention that while she has been doing all of this she has been working full time and a full time nursing student who GRADUATED!!!!!! My mom did this twice once in Israel and in the US and I know how demanding and how difficult it is! So proud of you Christine you are a FREAKING ROCKSTAR!!!!!


Lastly, what are you most excited about doing that maybe you would not have done before starting this journey? I'm just glad that i've finally figured out how to listen to my body, but what amazes me is how much I actually enjoy exercise now.  If I go more than 2 days without doing something I get cranky, I never thought I'd be *THAT* person!

MY MESSAGE TO CHRISTINE:

Hi love. I know we don't know eachother that well....and we have only met just months ago...but I am beyond grateful that I decided to go on a Norwegian Cruise ship and film the whole thing haha because without that you would not have found me and become part of a team I never thought I could have. I am like you and all who join. Yes I was a dancer and yes I workout...but an athlete? A coach? a mentor? a motivator? You my love have inspired me daily with your constant honesty and hard work. Keeping it real and making sure to let everyone know that there are days that just SUCK.

It took me a lot longer to realize that NEVER SETTLE means to keep going and to always believe that it is possible even if it seems as though it isn't. Thank you for believing in me and entrusting me...I am learning through this and you have been a guiding light helping to set an example for our team and all the men and women who struggle with this choice. 

I hope this is a start to a beautiful friendship and while I know we have busy schedules and so many things going on I can count on you for some inspo and I hope that I can do the same for you. Maybe next time we go on a cruise together and LET EVERYONE HAVE IT!!!! Thank you for your love and support and for being an example of the 1stphorm #phamily.
