"Ok, Shana...you've got me HOOKED! Went to a friend's wedding this weekend & decided I wanted to thrift a vintage-y outfit since the venue was an old theater. Thank to you, I had already branched out & bought my first ever LACE top. Added a thrifted belt to my suitcase & left the rest to chance!! Found these shoes ($3) & the skirt (Banana Republic, WITH pockets, $2) in Gettysburg, PA. SO much fun & the outfit was a hit!"
Not only was Leslie part of our meeting in DC, she was this weeks Thrifters Anonymous Member of the week. I had to put what she posted on facebook here, since I was so excited and so proud to see her exploring her style and having fun! Leslie..that belt is amazing...and I love that you are now a lover of lace...we can join together in our addiction! You look gorgeous and I was so excited to go with you in Washington, DC!!!! This is exactly what Thrifters Anonymous is about...

So while I was in Washington DC last week we made it a point to have a Thrifters Anonymous Meeting..I was joined by one of my best friends Sarah of Get up and Go, her sister Leslie from Lead Like a Girl, and Susie of Black Eyed Susies...We had so much fun and this was just the first place we went to! We actually went to Two locations of Hope's Treasures and found some great pieces!! The prices were decent, but even better that we had a 40% off coupon for the second store! I recommend it to anyone in Virginia!

OMG - this made me squeal with delight. I LOVE LOVE LOVE thrift shopping and I dont think i wear a single outfit ever that does not include some fantabulous bargoon I scrounged up for nothing. I heart this in so many ways and I am GREEN WITH ENVY over the ww pez dispenser. If i flew over there in my invisible plane would you sell it to me?
